Pomegranate Season Harvest – Fine Art Canvas Print

Karin is an exhibited artist, originally from Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa, before moving to Yorkshire in the UK. An award-winning television producer, much of it spent as an environment and wildlife producer, Karin’s journey has taken her through careers in media, marketing and branding. And her inherent art heartbeat comes from its lifelong abiding presence, her own deep response to the world, a long line of familial influences, and innate love of nature.

Artist Info:  My work is about our Natural world and our Evocative world, and how it makes us feel: Lifted. Inspired. Sensorial. Adventurous. Joy ignited from our natural surroundings, and bringing all these responses and experiences into our special spaces and homes.

I create with a multi-disciplinary approach, although you’ll often find me in front of a canvas with my brushes and acrylics as the main medium of expression. Inks, paper, pens, scratched surfaces in luscious rich paint strokes, charcoal all are encouraged to participate with the creative journey of expression too! Each work is unique in its inspiration and creation.

Commissions

I work with commissions too, that fit in with my style, and capture meaningful moments and scenes that will bring you infinite pleasure and joy to always have on the walls in your home. These include wonderful memories of places you've travelled to, your garden and home, and all things that special aspects of nature evoke and lift.

My work honours sensitivity and resilience, strength and power, grace and gratitude, fear and courage. From this emerges intricate, thoughtful pieces that elevate people’s energy and the sanctuary of their own special spaces.

Through all the senses, I see and feel the evocative intensely – in light, texture, colour, composition, nature, life, and perspective. And I have been fortunate to experience all of these in abundance in my childhood years, stretching into a couple of decades spent living and travelling extensively around the world and in South Africa, my roots of birth. All which has shaped me enormously. This response to my world continues with my roots firmly in Yorkshire soil - from African savannahs to heather-covered moors.
